In this latest edition of the Florida Gators Recruiting Mailbag, GatorCountry.com's Andrew Spivey tackles a variety of questions on the football recruiting front.
Why did quarterback Cooper Bateman choose Alabama instead of Florida? With Bateman off the board, what are the Gators' options at quarterback? What is your take on the latest receiver commitment, Marqui Hawkins? How is UF's recruiting going for the Buck linebacker position? Why hasn't Florida offered Seffner (Fla.) Armwood athlete Alvin Bailey a scholarship? Florida football coach Will Muschamp only said he would sign 22 in this class, does that mean there are only six spots remaining?
Answers to all of those question and much, much more in this edition of the Gators Recruiting Mailbag.

Middletown (Conn.) Xavier quarterback Tim Boyle threw for Pease on Tuesday and was told to call him on Wednesday. That is when he received the news of the UF scholarship offer.

Florida Gators football coach Will Muschamp is known as one of the top defensive back coaches in the country. He also has a knack for finding under-the-radar recruits.
Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer cornerback Trey Cheek has been a prospect that hasn’t been talked about much as far as Florida football recruiting.
Cheek, who is currently verbally committed to California, has seen his recruitment pick up over the past few weeks. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder has caught the attention of many top programs of late.

Florida has had a lot of early success in recruiting so far for the 2013 class, but one position they are still looking to add prospects is at defensive end.
Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer defensive end Antonio Riles is one of the top defensive ends on the board for the Gators’ coaching staff.
Florida is showing how high he is on the board as they sent two assistant coaches to visit the 6-foot-4, 262-pound Riles this spring.
